Additional Financing for FATA Temporarily Displaced Persons Emergency Recovery Project (IDA Credit No.6139-PK)

 

The Government of Pakistan signed an agreement with the World Bank amounting to US$ 114 million namely “Additional Financing for FATA Temporarily Displaced Persons (TDPs) Emergency Recovery Project (IDA Credit No.6139-PK) on 24th October, 2017.

2. The objective of the project is to support the early recovery of families affected by the militancy crisis, promote child health and strengthen emergency response safety net delivery systems in the affected areas of FATA. The project consists of the Original Project of FATA TDP-ERP of US$ 75 million, with the following modification to its Component 2 (a) for purposes of this additional financing: (a) Child Wellness Services in the Affected FATA”. 

3. The financial agreements were signed by Mr. Arif Ahmed Khan, Secretary, EAD on behalf of the Government of Pakistan and Patchamuthu Illangovan, Country Director, World Bank on behalf of the World Bank. Mr. Zulfiqar Ali Raza, Director General (Projects), NADRA signed the Project Agreement on behalf of NADRA.
