Islamabad 12th June, 2021:

Minister for Economic Affairs Mr. Omar Ayub Khan chaired a high level meeting of National Coordination Committee on Foreign-Funded Projects (NCC-FFP). The NCC reviewed the progress of 15 hydropower projects amounting to US$ 3.2 bn being implemented by wapda_pr across the country.

The NCC reviewed the progress of Dasu HPP financed by

@WBPakistanCD , Tarbela-5 Extension by WB & AIIB, Mangla Refurbishment & Kurram Dam by @USAID_Pakistan, Keyal Khwar, Harpo and Warsak HPPs by Germany, France & EIB.

The meeting was attended by Mr. M. Yaqoob Shaikh, Parliamentary Secretary, Mr. Noor Ahmed, Secretary EAD, Dr. Shahzad Khan Bangash, Secretary Water Resources and senior officials of WAPDA. Minister for Economic Affairs directed to expedite the implementation on fast track basis.
