Secretary EAD Mr. Muhammad Humair Karim Kidwai had a meeting with the OPEC Fund President Dr. Abdulhamid Alkhalifa during the IsDB Group Annual Meetings in Baku, Azerbaijan. The Secretary EAD thanked the OPEC Fund for its support to Pakistan spanning over five decades with financing of over US $ 1.4 billion. Both sides reviewed and expressed satisfaction over OPEC's development portfolio in Pakistan, and agreed to develop Amongst other areas, both sides also discussed support of OPEC Fund in priority sectors such Railways, Transmission Systems, large water storage reservoirs and support to private sector development.
