Third Xinjiang–Pakistan Working Group Meeting on Economic Cooperation.
Islamabad, November 3, 2025 The Third Meeting of the Xinjiang–Pakistan Working Group on Economic Cooperation was held virtually on 3rd November 2025. The meeting provided an important platform for both sides to review ongoing collaboration and explore new avenues for mutually beneficial cooperation. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Muhammad Humair Karim, Secretary Economic Affairs Division, Pakistan and Mr Keiser Keyum, Vice Chairman of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonmous Region, China. The agenda of the meeting broadly encompassed discussions on enhancing border port trade and deepening cooperation in the fields of agriculture, science and technology, health, and education. Both sides engaged in a constructive and meaningful dialogue aimed at strengthening bilateral economic ties and promoting sustainable regional development. Delegates from Pakistan and Xinjiang presented detailed proposals focused on improving the livelihoods of local communities and further consolidating the existing areas of cooperation. The participants reaffirmed their shared commitment to advancing economic integration and fostering people-to-people linkages under the framework of China–Pakistan economic collaboration.
